Mobil-Mobil Honda Dihancurkan Senilai Rp 215 miliar

Pasalnya, jumlah mobil yang dihancurkan mencapai 1.055 unit dan semuanya masih baru. Bahkan juga model terbaru, seperti Brio yang ditunggu-tunggu konsumen Honda di Indonesia.

Bagi Honda Motor Corporation, keputusan menghancurkan mobil yang rusak ditelan banjir tersebut adalah komitmen untuk menjaga mutu. Cara menghitungnya, mobil yang dihancurkan tersebut rata-rata dibandrol 701.000 bath atau Rp 205 juta per unit.

Menurut Bangkok Post yang mengutip pernyataan Honda Thailand, kerugian tersebut belum termasuk kerusakan seperti parts dan komponen yang disimpan untuk merakit mobil baru dan dua pabrik terendam.

Model-Model Mobil Honda yang akan di Hancurkan

Hanya diijelaskan, untuk menghancurkan seluruh mobil yang terkena banjir tersebut dibutuhkan waktu sebulan. Penghancurkan dilakukan pada pabrik Honda, di Provinsi Ayutthaya. Selain mobil utuh, komponen baru siap kirim, juga ikut dihancurkan.

Model-model yang dihancurkan terdiri dari 353 unit City, 217 Brio, 213 Jazz, 150 Civic, 91 Accord, 30 CR-V dan sisanya Freed yang diimpor dari Indonesia.
“Selain menghancurkan 1.055 unit mobil rusak, kami masih harus mengurus relokasi mobil baru ke tempat yang aman,” kata Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Executive Vice President of Honda Automobile Thailand. Negera tersebut merupakan basis produksi dan ekspor kedua terbesar di dunia.

Cara Penghancuran
Untuk menghancurkan mobil tersebut - dengan metode ramah lingkungan - seluruh parts dan kompone dilepas dari kendaraan. Sedangkan komponen bersifat cairan, seperti oli, pendingin, minyak rem dan sebagainya, dikuras dan ditampung secara sistematik. Material yang berbahaya seperti baterai dan cairan akan dikirimkan ke pengolah resmi atau ke pusat daur ulang.

Untuk mencegah mobil tersebut dijual, nomor sasis dan mesin kendaraan yang dihancurkan dimuat pada situs Honda Thailand, yaitu www.honda.co.th.

Pitak mengatakan, Honda berusaha sekuat tenaga dan secepat untuk kembali ke produksi normal. Dua pabrik Honda di kompleks Industri Rojana Industrial ditelah banjir sejak 8 Oktober dan berlangsung hampir dua bulan.

April 2012
Sebelum digenangi banjir, pabrik Honda di Thailand tersebut sudah berhenti berproduk karena ketiadaan suku cadang untuk merakit mobil. Pitak menambahkan, mesin, perlengkapan dan perkakas pabrik semuanya ditelan banjir.

Saat ini, perlengkapan dan perkakas pabrik masih dalam perbaikan dan ada yang harus diganti.
